JEAN GILLES PORCELAIN STATUE 3Q19C
Exquisitely hand painted - this maiden in 18th century attire has a jug or basket looped over her arm. She's pulled up her apron to cradle the roses she is carrying. Her clothing is slightly askew - barefoot - suggesting she's been out on a warm summer day having the time of her life! The painting on her is wonderful - the details on her skirts, the tiny individual floral bouquets on the overskirt, not to mention the lovely face! She's a beauty.
One minor flaw - there is an old repaired chip on the bottom of the base on the left side.
She measures 13.5" tall and has the JG lavender blue padmark affixed on the inside bottom of the base
