In original oak frame
Hand-inked (or painted) lettering with the words BARGAIN COUNTER in fancy script accompanied by some curlicues and ornamentation
Letters are framed by a ruled line with painted ornaments at each corner
Looking very closely you can see some very light pencil guidelines that were drawn in
A few age spots and a bit of water damage to the upper left corner and some light foxing
The glass has some wavy bits to it here and there but I do not know if original - glass does have a light green cast
Sign underneath is much lighter in color - a sort of off white - I had it apart briefly to clean the glass
Sight size is 21.5" by 13.5" - Outer frame size is 23.5" by 15.5" and has two old brass eyes at the top
Small brass nails hold it into frame with a chipboard-type backing
