ANTIQUE ENGLISH MANTLE ORNAMENT URN

With handles on sides, this fabulous antique mantle ornament is hand painted all over with spectacular summer flowers in gilded frames over a ground of cobalt blue. Amazing amount of hand applied gilding for such a diminutive piece. Also gilded on the inside with a garland of berries and flower forms.

Somewhere in its interesting storyline, it has suffered some damage and you will see a very old repair to the stem with some losses of glazing. Also losses to the gilding on the foot, handles, and other places.
