Antique Original NOS New Old Stock Lithograph Victorian MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE 1897

ORIGINAL ANTIQUE LITHOGRAPH VICTORIAN MARRIAGE/WEDDING CERTIFICATE

This new-old-stock Victorian marriage certificate has never been used and retains its clear pink background printed on vanilla stock.

In beautiful unused antique condition, this certificate would make a wonderful gift for a new couple - and one could have it professionally lettered with all the information.

This item measures 15" inches by 19.5" and as you can see there is a large margin for framing purposes. Printed on heavy paper, it features pink, black, and metallic inks.

Published by Crider Bros. and copyrighted 1897, this was part of a large group of certificates that was likely set aside from a stationers that closed. There is an engraved depiction of a couple in a swan boat surrounded by flowers, an engraving of the Hand Of God touching the hands of the new couple, a depiction of tree in an ovoid form, and a Bible with a wedding ring resting on it. It also has spaces for information - though one line is lettered for the 20th centuries.

As in all antique paper - there may be some toning or discoloration and the faint whiff of old paper. Because these are fragile - they are shipped in a mylar sleeve with acid-free backing. They will need to be shipped flat as they cannot be rolled due to potential cracking damage.
